Health care providers often try to  impress upon their patients the importance of consistency with respect to adherence to specific health regimens.  If you take medications or supplements they work best when taken under the same conditions on regular basis.

For example if you take a multivitamin they are best absorbed if you take  them with food. Consider picking a meal and taking your vitamins with the same meal everyday. If you take a mega vitamin i.e. more than 1 pill consider taking one with breakfast and one  with dinner. Often times the body cannot absob mega doses of nutrients at one time and you may be excreating your hard earned dollars and not reaping the  benefits.

If you are taking a  thyroid supplement for hypothyroidism it absorbs better taken alone on an empty stomach at the same time each day.

If you are taking a medication for a specific condition for a limited amount of time or at an odd interval consider using the  calendar feature of your iPhone, windows Mobile device, Palm or other PDA. Set the alarm to sound to remind you when it is  time  to take  your  medications or perform a certain exercises.

You can set reminders for daily work-outs, 5 minutes of meditation practice, bathroom breaks, water drinking, flossing or any other health behavior you would like to become second nature.

Remembering to be consistent in your health rituals is far more effective in maintaining and promoting  your wellness than the occasional drastic burst of the latest health tip.
